Rosamunde Price has more than 35 years’ experience of investment management with a variety of leading investment houses prior to her recent retirement from Seven Investment Management on 31st December 2015.
Ros was the Chief Investment Strategist for Seven Investment Management, a role she took up in early 2012 as part of her planned move towards retirement and oversaw the installment of her successor as Chief Investment Officer who she handed over to as CIO at the end of 2013. She had previously been Chief Investment Officer since the start of the company which she joined in October 2001 and is one of the initial management team and founders that set up the business.
She started the investment management team, developing the investment process and is responsible for the investment philosophy which saw asset under management grow from zero to over £6.5 billion at hand over having steered the funds through the credit crunch in 2008/9 with relative success. Funds now stand at around £10 billion and the investment process she instigated forms the backbone of the investment offering today. During her period in charge of investment matters she introduced several innovative investments products including actively asset allocated portfolios of passive instruments and also a flexible risk based portfolio.
Most recently prior to setting up the investment team at 7IM, she held the position of Equity Strategist for Europe at Citibank Private Bank, where she developed an asset allocation strategy process that was based on individual clients’ risk / return profile. Prior to this, Ros took responsibility for entire institutional portfolios and pension funds, including the Civil Aviation Authority Pension Fund (CAVIAPEN), and for European portfolios at GFM International Investors Ltd (the international asset arm of the US insurance company Metropolitan Life). Ros started her investment management career with Esso Pension Trust after completing an MSc in Business Administration at the London Business School.
She has an Hons BSc in Chemistry from the Victoria University of Manchester.
